I don't understand vortexes. My character Matthew King grew up in Sedona, Arizona, which I chose because I liked the rhyme and I once lived in New Mexico (close enough). Later I learned its reputation as a major energy vortex because my sister-in-law visited the place their last year "to feel the vibes." I know I should ask her what she felt--but it embarrasses me. What would Dorothy do?
